Samarakoon Agricultural Service (SAS) was established in 1935 by late Appuhami Samarakoon an entrepreneur who saw the need of a reliable source of affordable high quality seeds for the Sri Lankan farming community.
Since then the company has taken the challenge of the varying trends in the agriculture industry and continued its tasks of providing the best to enable the Sri Lankan farmers to make their produce commercially viable.
The company was incorporated as Samarakoon Agricultural Services (Pvt) Ltd in 2002.
Apart from Agricultural Servies, SAS acts as an authorized dealer for Gestetner of Ceylon PLC and Ceylon Weighing Machines Company Ltd selling Ricoh, Gestetner, Fujitsu products and Avery, Hana scales.
